4 Candles Confections

I'm Rachael Ashak-Benson, the owner and head baker for 4 Candles Confections. Mine is a typical story. Prior to baking and decorating professionally, I was an at home mom of four, on leave from my job in social work. I began making cakes and desserts for friends and family and was urged by them to consider sharing my talent with the world. Though at the time I thought, "talent"? Me? And the idea scared the sheet cake out of me!

But as time went on, and with continued constant urging, I warmed to the idea. I was baking something or other once or twice a week anyway, as baking is my love and passion, and soon I sold a few items to friends. That experience made starting 4 Candles my full time job. I attended not only every baking and decorating class I could to increase my skills, but more importantly I took small bushiness education courses.

Since this is a company driven from passion and heart you will always get delicious desserts made with only the finest, and local,  ingredients. Recipes have been tried and tweaked for months before they are perfected.

Additionally, this is not an "over the counter" experience. You will have personalized attention where your hopes, specifications, and dislikes are taken seriously. Consideration is given to the ease of the experience as well. You have enough on your plate.
