Launch FB or Wait - Oh the Struggle!

Oh the struggle! Do I launch my 4 Candles Facebook page, which is all ready to go - like a prom date waiting by the door - or wait until the website is ready, and go public in unison? I am having a bit of Facebook traffic anyway, a couple of views every few days, so I am thinking it would be better for that traffic to see an active page than an unliked one (my mother and daughter's likes not withstanding).

But this is just a small business owner in the early days being overly anxious. I feel it is smart to launch both Facebook and the website together, but, man, it kills me to possibly miss out on those people who would potentially be interested in 4 Candles, if it appeared to be an active business. As no one wants to feel like they are the only one liking a page. Plus, I keep the page up to date with photos of work I have done, but it is really in a holding pattern. No lively posting. Once I launch, I will invite all my friends to like the 4 Candles page and that will start the buzz I need, and I can start rolling on the regular posts.

In the meantime, every time I get a Facebook notification that my page has received another view I cringe a little. But it also pushes me, motivates me, to get the website done that much faster. With a three year old tugging on my skirt, and all the little unexpected details that go into website building, it is taking longer than I had anticipated.

By the time you are reading this, hopefully both sites will be up and running - and my soul will be soothed!
